The 2018 SEBRA AGM was a quite excellent event, with a record number of members taking the time to come along to The Porchester Hall.
Following the official business some lively debate on a number of issues that concern our members took place, with subjects ranging from rough sleeping, the London Living wage, the redevelopment of Whiteleys, recycling in the Royal Parks, affordable housing and much more.
Our "top table" comprised of Stuart Love (Chief Executive WCC), Andrew Scattergood (Chief Executive, The Royal Parks), John Walton (SEBRA President), John Zamit (SEBRA Chairman), Nickie Aiken (Leader, WCC), Karen Buck MP and Mark Field MP and we're most grateful to each of them for taking the time to be involved.
The theme of the evening was "I Have a Dream" and many members expressed their own personal dreams for SEBRALand to accompany John Zamit's dream of the public realm improvements in Queensway.
Following the business of the day, the prize raffle and drinks reception took place and we must once again thank our sponsors Veolia, Bourne Capital and Whiteleys. The evening wouldn't happen without you.
Thanks also to Anna's kitchen for the rather excellent catering and to all of the local businesses who were kind enough to donate raffle prizes.
We'll have a full report in the Spring 2019 edition of SEBRA NEWS W2.
